Solace and Longing emerged from my move to the Middle East, where I was deeply struck by the intensity of human emotion woven into daily life. The depth of feeling I encountered—passionate, raw, and unguarded—left a profound impression on me. Yet, beneath this emotional richness lay an enduring strength, shaped by the land and the ever-present currents of regional history and politics. This series reflects that duality—the ability to feel deeply while simultaneously cultivating resilience. In a place where external uncertainties are constant, people carve out solace, holding onto fragments of stability and beauty. Through these etchings, I explore the tension between vulnerability and endurance, between longing for certainty and embracing the unknown.
